Mableton is a hilly city with a wide mix of homes. Census figures show about a third were built before 1980 and about a third in 2000 or later. Many sit on sloped lots over red clay. On those lots, an aging driveway can crack and settle until rainwater runs toward the garage.
Pro One Concrete is a concrete contractor, and Mableton is part of our service area. Here we take on driveway replacement on older lots and house and garage slabs for new building. We look at the job and put the quote in writing. Call or text (770) 880-4224 to tell us about yours.

Mableton is a young city with old roots. Voters approved cityhood in November 2022, and the first mayor and council were elected in 2023. The Robert Mable House on Floyd Road, home of the man the city is named for, still stands. So does the Concord Covered Bridge over Nickajack Creek.
About 78,800 people lived here in mid-2025, by the Census Bureau's estimate, the most of any city in Cobb County. The city holds about 31,500 homes, and about two in three are detached single-family houses. The 2000s were the busiest building decade, with nearly one home in four built then.
Close to three in ten homes went up in the 1960s and 1970s. On those older lots, a full tear out and re-pour starts the drive over from the ground up. For newer homes, we also widen drives and pour full-size concrete patios.
The USDA soil survey maps much of Mableton as Madison soils. That is a sandy loam top layer over red clay flecked with mica. Across the city, most of the mapped ground is marked eroded, which often leaves red clay near the surface. About half of it lies on slopes of 10 percent or more.
On a slope, a driveway or slab needs careful grading and a firm, compacted base. Water has to drain away from the house and off the concrete. On steeper lots, a block foundation on stepped footings lets a house sit level as the ground falls away.
Low ground near the water needs a closer look. FEMA maps flood zones along Nickajack Creek, which meets the Chattahoochee River inside the city limits. Check the FEMA flood map for your address before you plan a slab or foundation there.
Mableton took over zoning and code enforcement from Cobb County in 2025. Building permits inside the city limits now go through the City of Mableton. Call its Building Division about what your job needs before work starts.
Some services stayed with the county. Cobb County said in 2025 that its water system would keep serving Mableton residents. The residential code Georgia adopts applies here, as it does across the state.
Before footings are dug or a drive is graded, the buried utility lines need marking. Georgia 811 asks for a dig ticket at least 3 business days before any digging.
Veterans Memorial Highway carries US 78 through the city, and Mableton Parkway carries GA 139. I-20 crosses the south end of the city near Six Flags Parkway. Shops and offices along these roads need pads and drives that take daily traffic.
Our commercial concrete work covers pads, small parking lots, approaches, dumpster pads and walks. Jobs run at the size of a shop slab or a small parking area. We look at the site and how trucks will reach it, then put the quote in writing.
Mableton sits on the east side of our service area. Villa Rica sits at the center, about 25 road miles west by I-20.
